Iran threatens Israel to respond to the targeting of its consulate in Damascus

ARK News… Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, confirmed that the strikes that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus and led to the killing of seven members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard yesterday “will not pass without a response.”

The Iranian president said: “Day after day, we witness the strengthening of the resistance front and the disgust and hatred of free countries for the illegal nature” of Israel, adding that “this cowardly crime will not go unanswered.”

The official al-Alam TV said that the Iranian National Security Council met yesterday and “took the appropriate decisions” regarding the attack on the Tehran consulate in Damascus.

The television did not provide further details, according to what was reported by the Arab World News Agency.

Official media quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kan’ani as saying, on Monday, that Iran reserves the right to take measures in response to the Israeli attack on its consulate in Damascus.

On Monday evening, Israel launched strong strikes on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, killing diplomats and commanders in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
