Demonstrators in Idlib and the Aleppo countryside are demanding the overthrow of al-Golani

ARK News… On Friday, /23/3/2024, many cities and towns of Idlib and the western countryside of Aleppo in northern Syria witnessed demonstrations calling for the overthrow and trial of the leader of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, Abu Muhammad al-Golani.

Syrian media sources said that the demonstrations included the cities and towns of Idlib, Sarmada, Binnish, Hazano, Jisr al-Shighour, Ta'oum, Jericho, Kafr Takharim, and Ma’arat Misrin.

Similar demonstrations took place in the cities and towns of Darat Izza, al-Atareb, and Abyan Sam’aan in the countryside of Aleppo.

The demonstrators in the center of Idlib city raised banners, demanding the overthrow of al-Golani, the establishment of a true Shura, the whitewashing of prisons, and the release of detainees.

The protesters stressed that the demands of the movement are clear, and there is no truth to targeting HTS fighters on the contact lines, as one of the banners read: “Repeated for the thousandth time, the Mujahideen are our brothers and sons, and down with the lying al-Golani.”
Areas under the control of Tahrir al-Sham have witnessed demonstrations since February 25, 2024, against the backdrop of what activists described as violations of the General Security Service against detainees. The demonstrators demanded the overthrow of al-Julani and the release of the detainees, chanting slogans: “The people want to overthrow al-Julani,” and “Golani and Damn "We don't want you."
