Statement of the Peace and Freedom Front on the occasion of the thirteenth anniversary of the Syrian people’s revolution

ARK News… To the heroic Syrian people on the thirteenth anniversary of the Revolution of Freedom and Dignity

The Peace and Freedom Front extends its greetings and appreciation to the Syrian people with all its components on the thirteenth anniversary of their blessed revolution that began on March 15, 2011, a revolution against the injustice, oppression, and tyranny that Syrians have experienced for decades.

A revolution in which the Syrian people made great sacrifices in the face of the regime’s tools of oppression, violence, destruction of the country, and displacement of people. The Peace and Freedom Front chose to stand by the Syrian people, and found in the political solution a way to build Syria, a democratic, pluralistic state for all Syrians, whose constitution recognizes the national rights of all components. The Syrian people, Arabs, Kurds, Assyrians, Turkmen, and others, are a country in which there is no room for the return of tyranny and dictatorship and the practice of policies of discrimination, exclusion, and marginalization.

Through their sacrifices, the Syrian people were able to gain great humanitarian and international sympathy and issuing important UN resolutions to resolve the Syrian crisis, most notably Resolution 2254. However, international interest in the Syrian file declined and the political process stopped, as a result of the emergence of other regional and international files.


We, in the Peace and Freedom Front, will continue our defense of the justice of the Syrian cause and will spare no effort with all supporters of democracy and through all peaceful and diplomatic means to put an end to the tragedy of the Syrians. We also call on the international community and relevant countries to fulfill their obligations through:

Urging the implementation of international resolutions to alleviate the plight of the Syrians, achieve peace and build the desired democratic state, and provide the requirements for the voluntary and safe return of the displaced, in fulfillment of the values of the revolution and its goals of achieving freedom, justice and equality.
