Ian McCurry: Iran plays a negative role in the region
ARK News… The US envoy to the “International Coalition” to fight ISIS revealed that there is no cooperation with the Syrian regime and no diplomatic contacts.
In an interview with the American al-Hurrah TV channel, Ian McCurry, the US envoy to the “International Coalition” to fight ISIS, said: “The coalition forces will defend themselves if they are exposed to attacks from Iranian proxies, and Iran plays a very negative role in the region.”
Ian McCurry confirmed that ISIS elements are still present in Syria, and coalition forces are working to confront them.
Regarding the presence of American forces in Iraq, McCurry said that there is currently no plan to withdraw forces from Iraq, “but rather there are bilateral discussions with Iraq in order to establish a permanent framework for security cooperation between the two countries.”
