Pedersen discusses with the Egyptian Foreign Minister the status of the Syrian crisis
ARK News… As part of Egyptian efforts to find a solution to the Syrian crisis, the Egyptian Foreign Minister met with the UN Special Envoy to Syria.
Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on February 26, 2024, during his visit to Geneva, with the United Nations Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen.
Abu Zeid revealed that Minister Shukri expressed to the UN envoy Egypt’s appreciation for his keenness to permanently coordinate with Egypt regarding the various developments in the Syrian file, explaining that Egypt, for its part, is keen to consult and coordinate continuously with the member states of the Arab Liaison Committee regarding Syria.
