Syria Response: Unemployment rates have risen to approximately 89% in northwestern Syria
ARK News… The Syria Response Coordinators Team said that unemployment rates in northwestern Syria rose to 88.74% on average.
The response coordinators confirmed in their report that unemployment is one of the most pressing issues that need radical solutions in northwestern Syria, especially with its negative effects in many aspects, such as youth migration, high crime rates, and increasing levels of poverty.
The team added that the reasons for unemployment are due to the lack of sufficient experience, weak training, national competencies, and the lack of practical experience for most graduates.
The report pointed to “exploiting the youth crisis and employing them as temporary workers without contracts for short and intermittent periods” with low wages and in jobs that do not require expertise, which does not help in achieving any goal or increasing expertise.
