A Syrian child died after being tortured by Turkish border guards
ARK News… A 16-year-old child lost his life as a result of being tortured by the Turkish border guards, the Gendarmerie, while he was trying to cross the Syrian-Turkish border with a group of people in the Idlib countryside.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: “The Turkish gendarmes tortured the child, then threw him into cold water holes in the rain for a whole night, while members of the group that was with him transferred him to the private hospital in Idlib unconscious, and after 3 days he died.”
Pointing out that "the child comes from Hayelin in the Hama countryside, and his family suffers from the deterioration of their living conditions."
According to the Syrian Observatory, since the beginning of the year 2024, “two civilians have lost their lives by Turkish gendarme bullets in various Syrian areas located near and at the border with Turkey, and a man and a girl were also injured by gendarme bullets.”
