The assassination of a famous banners engineer of Kafr Nibul and media activist

ARK News: Unknown armed militias assassinated, on Friday, the two media activists "Raed Al-Fares" and "Hammoud Junaid" in Kafr Nibul city rural of southern Idlib province, in a security operation which targeting the media work in areas under the control of the opposition after a series of arrests and prosecutions of activists by some military parties.

Raed Fares’s name frequented much in the past eight years, and he is considered one of the most prominent activists in the Syrian popular movement. He played a major role in covering the events of the Syrian revolution He founded several media organizations and played a prominent role in organizing the popular movement, despite the security prosecutions and the arrest by Hayat Tahrir Al-Sham, but he preferred to continue to work despite all the difficulties within the Syrian interior.

And Hammoud Junaid is a media activist who is working for the Radio Fresh team founded by Al-Fares in Kafr Nibul city, and he has extensive works and coverage in the province, during which he transmitted the facts and events of the Syrian revolution over the past years.

The two activists subjected to an assassination operation by unidentified gunmen who were traveling in a van in the eastern part of Kafr Nibul city, where they opened fire on them directly, which led to their deaths immediately.
