ARK News… The Syrian Civil Defense said that heavy rainfall caused damage to displacement camps and temporary shelter centers for earthquake survivors in northwestern Syria.

A Civil Defense statement stated that damage was recorded in 48 camps in Idlib and Aleppo due to torrents and damage.

It added that the floods caused total damage to 75 tents and temporary housing, and 1,043 tents and temporary housing were partially damaged, “while teams continue to respond to dozens of affected camps.”

The Syrian Civil Defense confirmed that “the weakness of humanitarian response work at both the international and local levels increase the catastrophic conditions that the displaced have been living in the camps for about 13 years.”

It warned that "the effects that the floods will have this winter will be disastrous, with the continued attacks by regime forces, Russia, and Iranian militias on civilian environments in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib."
