Million dollars to build a school for Syrians in Turkey
ARK News: South Korea has decided to donate a million-dollar donation of the definite for a Syrian school which is planning for its construction in the southern state of Shanli Urfa.
According to a statement issued by the state that the South Korean Ambassador to Ankara Choi Hong-gi met with Wali Shanli Urfa Abdullah Areen, Followed by the signing of a protocol between the ambassador and the education director in the state Sharafuddin Turan to build a school consisting of 24 halls for the benefit of Syrian students.
The statement quoted by Hong-Gi saying that he came to Shanli Urfa with the aim of signing a great understanding to support the Syrians, expressing his wishes for increased cooperation between Turkey and South Korea.
In turn, Areen pointed out that the two countries are brothers and friends, adding: “We explained to the ambassador in previous visits the issue of educating Syrian children who live in the state and decided to build a school to educate Syrian and Turkish children”.
Under the protocol, the South Korean government will provide $ 1 million for the school which it plans to build in the Harran district of Shanli Urfa, in order to educate Syrian children with temporary protection in the state and integrate them into the education system in Turkey.
