On the first Friday of 2024... Suwayda demonstrators renew their demand for the overthrow of the Syrian regime
ARK News… For the 20th week, thousands demonstrated in the city of Suwayda, southern Syria, to demand the overthrow of the Syrian regime and the implementation of a political solution on the first Friday of 2024.
On Friday 5/1/2024, the demonstrators in Karama Square in central Suwayda raised the flags of the Syrian revolution and the flags of the “Unitarian Druze” sect, along with banners demanding the overthrow of the Syrian regime and the Syrian detainees.
For more than 4 months, the people of Suwayda have continued their peaceful uprising, which broke out due to the deterioration of the living and security situation, and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254, which guarantees the achievement of a peaceful transfer of power through democratic elections under the supervision of the United Nations.
