The Syrian regime raises the fees for obtaining regular and urgent passports

ARK News… The Syrian regime's Ministry of Interior, on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, raised the fees for issuing a regular and urgent passport.

The “Sawt Al-Asimah” website said that the cost of obtaining a regular passport amounted to 312,700 Syrian pounds, after it was between 70 and 100 thousand, by booking through the electronic platform.

The fees for issuing an urgent passport also increased to 432,700 liras, up from 325,000 liras.

Last December 20, the regime’s Ministry of Interior announced that it had raised the immediate Syrian passport fee from one million and 5 thousand Syrian pounds to two million and 10,700 Syrian pounds.

The Syrian passport is the second most expensive passport in the world, and ranks second as the worst passport in the world after the Afghan passport, and entitles its holder to enter 28 countries.
