America: UN Resolution 2254 is the only solution to the conflict in Syria

ARK News… In conjunction with the eighth anniversary of the adoption of Resolution 2254, the US Embassy in Syria said that the United States renews its strong support for a political process in Syria led by Syrians, facilitated by the United Nations, and represents the aspirations of the Syrian people.

The embassy confirmed that UN Security Council Resolution No. 2254 remains the only viable solution to the conflict in Syria.

In this regard, the opposition Syrian Negotiating Committee said in a statement: The UN-led political process in Syria is still frozen as a result of the intransigence of the regime, Moscow and Tehran, and their rejection of any effort aimed at finding an implementable and sustainable political solution.

The Negotiating Committee called on the Security Council to hold a special session to discuss the reasons that have prevented the implementation of Resolution 2254 so far, and to demand its implementation under Clause Seven.

The Commission also stressed the need to make more efforts to advance the political process, which is considered a solution to all the problems and crises that the Assad regime has exported to neighboring countries.
