Thwarting the smuggling of drugs and missile weapons on the Jordanian-Syrian border
ARK News… Jordanian media revealed that the Jordanian army thwarted the smuggling of large quantities of narcotic drugs and missile weapons on the Syrian-Jordanian border.
The official Jordanian news agency, Petra, said, citing a responsible military source from the Jordanian army, that the northern border of Jordan witnessed armed clashes at dawn on Monday, 18/12/2023, between border guards and armed groups, which resulted in thwarting the smuggling of large quantities of drugs and automatic and missile weapons.
The source added that the clashes recorded a number of injuries among members of the Jordanian border guard forces, and their health condition ranged from light to moderate.
An armed clash took place on December 12, 2023, between the Jordanian border guards and dozens of smugglers, resulting in the killing of a border guard member and the wounding of another, in addition to the killing of a number of smugglers and the wounding of some of them.
