Syrian media said that many Syrians resorted to primitive methods dating back to the 1960s to provide lighting in their homes.
According to Syrian media outlets, the LEDs that operate on batteries no longer work for more than one hour after the power went out for long hours per day.
The media added that the families had restarted the "lux", which they had dispensed with for many years, to illuminate the darkness of the long winter nights.
