ARK News… The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, on Tuesday, November 8, 2023, said that Russian forces distribute humanitarian aid in areas under the control of the Syrian regime with the aim of winning popular support, the most recent of which is the distribution of aid in the village of Al-Awija in the countryside of the city of Qamishlo in Syrian Kurdistan.

The Observatory said, "Russian forces distributed food and medical aid to the people of the village of Al-Awija. The aid includes 300 food baskets in addition to medical services for children, women and the elderly in the village."

He stressed that "the Russian forces are working to try to gain popular support within the regime's areas, exploiting the state of poverty, destitution, and the deteriorating living conditions of most groups of the Syrian people."

The Syrian Observatory indicated that the Russian Reconciliation Center had previously distributed humanitarian aid to the people of the town of Maaloula in the Damascus countryside, the village of Soukas in the Jabla countryside in Latakia Governorate, and the village of Al-Diyabiyah in the Damascus countryside.
