New targeting of an American base north of Deir Ez-Zor
ARK News… A US forces base in the Konico field north of Deir Ez-Zor, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, was subjected to a new attack via drones.
Local sources in the region reported that the "al-Khadra Village", inside a base for the American forces in the "Koniko" natural laurel field, was attacked by an unknown source via a drone.
These sources added that explosions were heard inside the American base, which required the US Air Force to move from warplanes and helicopters to the area after the attack.
For its part, the "Islamic Resistance in Iraq", in a statement, claimed responsibility for the attack on the "Koniko" field in the Deir Ez-Zor countryside.
US Department of Defense spokesman Pat Ryder revealed in a press briefing on Monday that US forces have been subjected to 38 attacks in Iraq and Syria since last October 17, noting that 45 soldiers and employees sustained minor injuries.
Since October 17, American bases in Syria and Iraq have been subjected to a series of attacks, most of which were claimed by the Islamic Resistance in Iraq militia.
