ARK News…. For the third time in a row, protesters closed the Baath Party building in the city of Suwayda, while a number of other protesters headed to government departments and closed them.
The Suwayda 24 Network said: The demonstrations demanding the overthrow of the Syrian regime in the Suwayda Governorate in southern Syria are continuing in their eightieth day, and today, Sunday (05/11/2023), the protesters closed the branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in the city center for the third time in a row by burning tires at the branch’s gate. This came after news of his return to work.
The Suwayda 24 network added: The protesters partially closed a number of roads in the center of the city of Suwayda, the electricity company, the Directorate of Technical Services, and several other government departments.
The network added that the protesters confirmed that meetings would not be allowed to continue at the Baath Party headquarters in order to develop malicious plans and conspiracies against the people of the city of Suwayda, according to the Suwayda 24 network.
About two and a half months ago, peaceful protests began in Suwayda due to the deteriorating living and security situation, carrying slogans demanding the overthrow of regime leader Bashar al-Assad, the exit of Iran from the country, and the implementation of UN resolutions to resolve the crisis in Syria, especially Resolution No. 2254 stipulating a political transition.
