President Barzani and the Chinese Consul discuss the latest developments

ARK News… President Masoud Barzani received the Chinese Consul General in Erbil, Liu Jun, and his accompanying delegation, at the Salahuddin Resort in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

During the meeting, President Barzani wished the new Chinese consul in Erbil success, expressing his appreciation for the history and civilization of China's people and leadership, as they overcame great challenges and provided great services to humanity and the world, expressing his happiness at expanding relations between the two sides.

For his part, the Chinese Consul appreciated the role of President Barzani and the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, as well as the sacrifices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in the Kurdistan liberation movement.

Liu Jun referred to the historical and long-standing relations between the immortal Barzani and the leaders of China, as well as between the Chinese Communist Party and the Kurdistan Democratic Party, expressing his desire to strengthen the ties between the State of China and the Kurdistan Region in the economic, cultural, scientific and commercial fields, as well as the field of tourism and travel.

Discussing the latest security and political situations and developments at the world level and the region was another focus of the meeting.
