ARK News… All flights were diverted to Latakia Airport after the Damascus and Aleppo international airports were out of service as a result of the Israeli bombing. This negatively affected travelers and led to the price of airline tickets in Syria doubling.

Media outlets close to the Syrian regime said that air ticket prices in Syria rose after the Damascus and Aleppo international airports were out of service as a result of the Israeli bombing, and all flights were diverted to Latakia Airport.

The media added that the cost of the trip from Latakia to Erbil, on October 25 - the date of the last targeting of Aleppo Airport - was 4.9 million Syrian pounds, and after the targeting it rose to between 6.3 and 7.7 million Syrian pounds.

According to tourist sources, the media attributed the increase in air ticket prices to two reasons: the first is the decrease in the number of flights heading to Syria, and the second is the increase in the number of travelers outside Syria, which was reflected in the number of flights flying and ultimately led to an increase in prices.

Damascus and Aleppo international airports were out of service several times over the past few days as a result of Israeli bombing, the last of which was on October 25, 2023, hours after the regime announced its return to service.
