Israel puts Aleppo International Airport out of service again
ARK News… Aleppo International Airport was bombed by Israeli aircraft for the second time within 48 hours, putting it out of service again.
The Israeli army, on Saturday/Sunday night, announced that it had “destroyed” Aleppo International Airport again “in response to the missile launched from Syria” toward Israel.
In this regard, the Israeli army spokesman said in a statement, “Chief of Staff General Herzi Halevy announces the destruction of Aleppo Airport again, in response to the missile that was launched from Syria towards Israeli territory last hour.”
The Syrian regime's Ministry of Defense, on Saturday, said that the Israeli army launched an air strike from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, west of Latakia, targeting Aleppo International Airport, causing material damage to the airport and putting it out of service.
On Thursday, Israel simultaneously targeted the international airports in Damascus and Aleppo, causing them to be out of service. The Syrian regime then announced that Aleppo Airport would return to work on Saturday, while Damascus Airport remains out of service.
On Tuesday, Israel bombed Syrian territory with artillery in response to the firing of shells from it towards the Golan Heights, according to what a military spokesman confirmed.
In this context, Reuters reported, citing its own sources, that the aim of directing strikes on airports is to disrupt Iranian supply lines to Syria.
For years, Israel has launched hundreds of attacks and air strikes on Syria, targeting positions of Syrian regime forces and Iranian and Hezbollah targets, including weapons and ammunition depots in various areas.
