Suwayda demonstrations against the regime and demanding political change continue

ARK News… Al-Karama Square in the city center of Suwayda, today, Tuesday, witnessed a massive demonstration, demanding the departure of the Assad regime and the bringing about of political change in Syria in accordance with international resolutions, most notably Security Council Resolution 2254.

A media source said that the demonstrations have been continuing on a daily basis for a month and a half, noting that “Al Karama” Square records a continuous popular presence every day, in addition to evening protests in many major cities and towns.

He added that the demands of the demonstrators emphasize the unity of Syria and the demand for the departure of the Assad regime and the release of detainees, stressing that the governorate will not accept the return of the regime to it and that its presence has become a thing of the past.

The demonstrators stressed the rights of the Syrian people to live in freedom and dignity and build their independent state based on the foundations of justice and law. They also demanded the end of the occupations brought by the Assad family to defend the seat of government and the return of Syrian capabilities that had become hostage to the Syrian people in the hands of foreign powers.
