ARK News… The head of the European Union delegation to Syria, Dan Stanescu, revealed that the value of the humanitarian projects completed by the European Union in Syria since 2011 has reached 30 billion euros.

During an interview with Al-Madina FM Radio, Dan Stanescu, head of the European Union delegation to Syria, said that the European Union has allocated 170 million euros for the year 2023 alone for emergency needs.

Dan Stanescu stressed that the European Union does not deal with the government of the Syrian regime regarding the selection and implementation of its projects, but rather consults local partners in Syria and working United Nations agencies, and also takes ideas and suggestions from Syrian communities to decide which projects should be implemented.

The head of the European Union delegation to Syria indicated that the Union supports the United Nations goal of reaching a comprehensive political solution in Syria, in accordance with Security Council Resolution No. 2254.
