France begins to prosecute Syrian regime officials
ARK News… France will begin trial procedures for three Syrian regime officials, in the case of the killing of two Syrians with French citizenship, in May 2024.
on Monday, a judicial source told France Press Agency that officials will be tried in the case of the murder of Mazen Dabbagh and his son Patrick, on charges of their involvement in committing crimes against humanity and war crimes, before the Criminal Court in Paris.
This trial, whose dates were revealed by the Emirati newspaper The National, will be the first trial in France for crimes against humanity committed in Syria.
It is likely that the former head of the General Intelligence Service, Ali Mamlouk, who later became head of the National Security Office, the former head of the Air Force Intelligence Service, Jamil Hassan, and the director of the Bab Touma (Damascus) branch of the Air Force Intelligence, Abdul Salam Mahmoud, will be tried in absentia. All three are targeted by international arrest warrants.
