The Suwayda demonstrations continue, and demands for Assad’s departure are widespread in the governorate
ARK News… The demonstrations of the people of Suwayda against the Assad regime, on Sunday were renewed, to demand freedom, dignity, justice, and democracy.
A media source said that delegations of demonstrators came on Sunday from most of the cities and towns of the governorate, to gather in Karama Square, indicating that the demands of the people have not changed, focusing on the departure of Assad and his regime and the implementation of UN Resolution 2254.
It added that the demonstrators stressed that the demonstrations would continue until the departure of the regime and allow the people to democratically choose a leadership keen to advance the country, explaining that the demonstrations were no longer limited to Al Karama Square, and had turned into evening demonstrations taking place in most areas.
It pointed out that the demonstrators chanted the famous revolution chants such as, “Death or humiliation, and the people want to overthrow the regime. Syria is ours and does not belong to the house of Assad. Leave, Bashar.” They also chanted for the revolting cities and towns and demanded the release of detainees.
