A source for ARK: The return of six Kurdish families to the villages of Rajo and Bulbul towns in Afrin
ARK News… A private source, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, said that a number of Kurdish families have returned to their hometowns in the villages of Afrin, in Syrian Kurdistan.
The source, who preferred not to be named, confirmed that six Kurdish families have returned today to their hometowns in the villages of Shingele, Qara Baba, Bilelka in the districts of Rajo and Bulbul.
The source continued that dozens of families return to their hometowns daily.
On Friday, August 11, 2023, Ahmed Hassan, representative of the Kurdish National Council in Syria within the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, said that Afrin and its environs host dozens of its families returning from different countries and regions every day.
Hassan said in exclusive statements to ARK, "Families return daily from Turkey, Lebanon, the Kurdistan Region, as well as from Aleppo. Recently, the villages of Chaqale Gumi, Shitka, Hisse, Kakhire, Tirmuja, and the villages of Rajo and Bulbul witnessed the return of families to their hometowns."
He emphasized that "the only solution to limit demographic change is return," and appealed, "in the name of the Kurdish National Council, our people to return to Afrin, as it is closer to Europe and less expensive."
He added by sayind: I hope that "all families will return to the homeland of the fathers and grandfathers to limit the demographic change, as he described it."
Activists in Afrin confirm the return of dozens of Kurdish families, especially in recent times, since the beginning of last July to date, more than 200 Kurdish families have returned, and the return is still continuing.
