US sanctions against the regime are back to their previous state before the earthquake
ARK News… The American Coalition for Syria announced that the US government has officially notified Congress of its response to its demands and its intention not to renew General License No. 23, under which sanctions against the Syrian regime were suspended following the devastating earthquake last February.
Muhammad Ghanem, a member of the American Coalition for Syria, said on his Twitter account: “The US government has officially notified the US Congress of its response to their demands and its intention not to renew General License No. 23, according to which sanctions against the Assad regime were suspended following the earthquake in February, which expires a current on August 8 of the year.”
Ghanem added: Thus, the US sanctions against the regime will return to their previous state, prior to the earthquake.
