ARK News... A spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephane Dujarric, said on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, that the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the World Health Organization provided technical materials for the children's hospital and various health facilities in northwestern Syria.

Dujarric explained that a team from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs visited a children's hospital supported by the Cross-Border Aid Delivery Support Fund to Syria, and that the World Health Organization implemented a monitoring process and provided technical assistance to many health facilities.

He added that the United Nations teams are planning to carry out more tasks and bring aid trucks through the Bab al-Salam and al-Rai crossings in the coming days.

Dujarric added that contacts are continuing with the Syrian regime regarding the activities of the United Nations in the region.

Dujarric indicated that the United Nations has carried out nearly 170 cross-border operations in northwestern Syria since the earthquake that occurred last February.
