Civil Defense: 18 deaths by drowning since the beginning of the year, northwestern Syria
ARK News...On Tuesday, the Syrian Civil Defense Corporation issued statistics on the number of drowning cases since the beginning of the year until today.
The foundation said that 18 people, including 11 children, died from the beginning of the year until yesterday, due to swimming in rivers and private pools, and that its teams rescued 37 people, including 25 children.
In addition, the firefighting teams of the Syrian Civil Defense Corporation announced that they responded to three fires that broke out in separate areas of northwestern Syria.
The foundation said that the rate of agricultural and forest fires has increased in the western countryside of Idlib recently, due to the nature of the forested area there and the high temperature.
The total number of fires that the Foundation's teams responded to in northwestern Syria reached 305, from July 1 to July 23.
