The Civil Defense intensifies infrastructure projects in northern Syria

ARK News... The Syrian Civil Defense Corporation said, in a report, that it had intensified infrastructure projects at various levels in northwestern Syria after the earthquake.

It pointed out that the projects included extending sewage networks, rehabilitating roads, and other projects at various levels, in order to achieve a better reality and future for Syria and the Syrians and provide the elements that enable them to recover, whether from disasters or the war of Russia and the regime that has been going on for 12 years.

The Foundation indicated that the violent and systematic bombing campaigns during the long war waged by the Assad regime and Russia weakened the already marginalized infrastructure in Syria, and with campaigns of forced displacement of the population as one of the tools of war, densely populated areas emerged that increased the burdens of infrastructure, as is the case in northwestern Syria.

During the first half of the current year 2023, the Foundation recorded the implementation of 12,348 service operations aimed at strengthening the resilience of the local community within 585 population centers, including cities, villages, and towns, and 545 camps in northwestern Syria.
