Dead and wounded during clashes between Iranian militias and tribesmen in Deir-Ez-Zour
ARK New… Members of the militia supported by the "Iranian Revolutionary Guard" were killed and wounded, Thursday night, during armed clashes with young men from the "Al-Agiydat" tribe in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour Governorate, eastern Syria.
Activist Wissam al-Agedi, who is from the countryside of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, stated that "two members of the militias supported by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were killed on Thursday night, and others were wounded."
He said, "Armed clashes broke out between a military group of Iranian militias and a number of members of the "Al-Qara'an" clan affiliated with the "Al-Agiydat" tribe in Al-Bawad neighborhood in Al-Quria city, east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate.
This tension comes between the people of the "Al-Agiydat" tribe and the Iranian militias, after the so-called "convoys of pilgrims" (Iraqis), last Friday, uttered sectarian slogans in front of local residents in the Al-Hari area in Al-Bokamal countryside, east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate.
As a result, some children from the village threw stones at those convoys, and the Iranian militias responded by shooting at the children, which prompted their families to bring weapons and target the buses, causing deaths and injuries amid a great alert of the militias in the area.
