With conditions... The Syrian regime agrees to enter aid through the Bab al-Hawa crossing for a period of 6 months
ARK News… The Syrian regime informed the United Nations of its agreement to enter aid into northwestern Syria across the border with Turkey, but on the condition that the "Bab al-Hawa" crossing be used for a period of six months only, after the Security Council failed to renew the authorization for the aid delivery process.
Bassam al-Sabbagh, the Syrian regime's ambassador to the United Nations, wrote in a letter to the Security Council, Thursday, that the delivery of United Nations aid must take place in full cooperation and coordination with the government of the Syrian regime.
This comes after the failure of the UN Security Council, last Tuesday, to agree on extending the mechanism for entering aid across the border into Syria, due to Russia's use of its veto power against the resolution, which aims to extend the mechanism for a period of 9 months.
