ARK News… The PYD administration continues to harass farmers in Syrian Kurdistan by raising the fees for transporting the crop, which burdens them and increases losses.

A private source told ARK that the grain receiving center affiliated with the PYD administration in the village of Girziyarat “Tawiba” is creating a crisis when receiving the crop, prompting the farmers to hand it over to the “Tal Alo” center in Chil Agha, and forcing the farmers to pay additional transportation fees.

Stressing that, since the beginning of the harvest season, the centers for receiving the crops have raised costs and increased the burdens of farmers through truck owners, as the price of one transport has reached approximately 800,000 Syrian pounds, adding that "many farmers had to store their crops to avoid the big loss.".

The source pointed out that if the cargo is unloaded on the same day, the price of one transport reaches approximately $300, at a time when the PYD administration imposed a tax of one million Syrian pounds on each transport vehicle.

The PYD administration issued a prison sentence and imposed a large fine on the owners of fodder shops if they buy crops from farmers.
