A delegation from the Kurdish community meets with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway

ARK News... A delegation from the Kurdish community, consisting of Dr. Noraddin Hawrami, Abdul Rahman Ismail, Helen Dara, and Azad Ahmed, participated in a seminar of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the Kurdish issue in general, and the Kurdish issue in Syria in particular.

Anakin Huitfeldt, Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the seminar, and it was attended by Mani Husseini, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, who is from Syrian Kurdistan, and Huda Imad, an activist in the ruling party "Arbider Party" and his candidate for the position of governor of the Norwegian capital, Oslo.

During the meeting and in the section on Syrian Kurdistan, Azad Ahmed, representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria and the Kurdish community in Norway, delivered a speech in which he highlighted several important issues in the future of the Kurds in Syria.

Azad Ahmed called on the Norwegian government to stand against the re-floating of the Syrian regime, especially after its return to the Arab League, and to contribute to providing international guarantees about the fate of the Kurds in Syria in the future.

The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria also called on the Norwegian government to support the Syrian Kurdistan refugees residing in Turkey and the Kurdistan Region in all aspects of "service, health, education", and to support the Peshmerga, and to open the Norwegian consulate in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
