Irvin Hicks stresses the importance of relations between the Kurdistan Region and America
ARK News... The Consul of the United States of America to Kurdistan, Irvin Hicks, on Sunday, June 18, 2023, confirmed that the regional parliament elections should be held on time, stressing the importance of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and America.
Hicks said during a speech at the American Chamber of Commerce conference in the Kurdistan Region, "In order to maintain security and stability in the region, and to protect the people of the Kurdistan Region, it is very important to hold the elections for the Parliament of the Kurdistan Region, on time."
He stressed that the Kurdistan Region is of special importance to the United States of America.
It is scheduled that the Iraqi Electoral Commission will meet this week to discuss setting the date for the elections for the Kurdistan Region Parliament.
