Citizens in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan complain about the price discrepancy and the absence of control by the PYD administration, amid the continuous collapse of the lira against the dollar.
A citizen from Qamishlo told ARK that the collapse of the Syrian pound against the US dollar is burdening the citizens, as the Syrian pound has crossed the threshold of 8,500 against the US dollar.
He added, "Citizens in Qamishlo are complaining about the absence of censorship and the disparity in prices amid the collapse of the Syrian pound against the dollar."
He continued by saying, "The cities of Syrian Kurdistan are witnessing a miserable service reality and successive crises in all aspects of life."
