ARK News… British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly, on Thursday said that Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to cease fire in Ukraine on the occasion of Orthodox Christmas "will do nothing to enhance prospects for peace."

"Stopping the Russian attacks for 36 hours will do nothing to enhance prospects for peace," the minister said in a tweet on his Twitter account.

He added, "Russia must permanently withdraw its forces, relinquish its illegitimate control over Ukrainian territory, and put an end to its brutal attacks against innocent civilians."
