Duhok... PDK sets a date for its conference

ARK News… An informed source told Kurdistan 24 that the Kurdistan Democratic Party will hold its 14th conference on the 3rd of next November in Duhok city.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party last August, held elections for its members who will participate in the 14th congress of the party, and 600,000 participated in the elections, who had the right to vote on the participants in the conference.

According to the internal law of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, 800 members who were elected last August will participate in the conference, in addition to the leaders of the party, and 25% of the members participating in the conference will be women.

History of previous KDP conferences:

The first conference: It was held on August 16, 1946, and was in the house of (Saeed Fahim) in the city of Baghdad and secretly, where (70) representatives participated.

The second conference: Was held in March of the year 1951. The place of conference was in the house of (Ali Hamdi) in Baghdad city, and the conference was with participated of about (30) representatives of the branches and committees of the party districts.

The third conference: Was held on January 26, 1953, in the city of Kirkuk, with the participation of about (35-40) representatives.

The Fourth Conference: It was held on 4-7/10/1959 in the house of (Kaka Ziyad) in Baghdad city, where the conference was under the supervision of Mullah Mustafa Barzani.

The Fifth Conference: It was held in the month of days of the year (1960) at the party's headquarters at that time in Baghdad city.

The Sixth Conference: It was held at the beginning of July of the year (1964) in the town of Kaladze.

The Seventh Conference: Held on November 15, 1966, in Gualala.

The Eighth Conference: Held on 1/7/1970 in Nawbardan, with the participation of (488) representatives.

The Ninth Conference: It was held on 4/10/1979 in the (Mergawar) region, in which (Masoud Mustafa Barzani) was elected as the leader of the party by the unanimous vote of the participants.

The Tenth Conference: Held in the period 12/12/1989 in the (Mergawar) region, with the participation of (332) representatives.

The Eleventh Conference: It was held in 1993 in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, with the participation of (2167) representatives.

The Twelfth Conference: Held on October 14-06, 1999 in the capital, Erbil, with the participation of (1473) representatives.

The Thirteenth Conference: Held in the period 11-18/12/2010, in the capital, Erbil, with the participation of more than (1500) representatives.
