Masrour Barzani: An e-government will be reached in the Kurdistan Region by the end of 2025

ARK News... The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, participated in the ceremony announcing the digital transformation strategy in the Kurdistan Region.

Masrour Barzani announced in his speech that the digitization process is part of the reform process in the institutions of the Kurdistan Region, stressing the quest of the ninth cabinet to reach e-government by the end of 2025.

The Prime Minister explained that a short time ago, the new digital system for driving licenses was launched in the Kurdistan Region, and he also announced that during the next month, the electronic visa system would be strengthened.

In the meantime, Masrour Barzani stressed that these steps are the beginning of a new phase and are qualitative steps, noting at the same time that the generalization of this system to all government institutions in the region will facilitate the provision of services to citizens in an easier and faster manner.

On the other hand, the Prime Minister of the Territory Government revealed the start of a new digital system to register companies during the next month, in order to reach the greatest degree of transparency and reduce red tape and bureaucracy in transactions, which facilitates the conduct of transactions for citizens, and seeks to dispense with paper transactions in the future that cost citizens long hours during reviews and waiting for them to be completed.
