Italy... Demonstrators under the slogan "NATO and the European Union: Leave us alone"
ARK News… The correspondent of "The Novosti Agency" reported that several protests against Rome's official policy towards Ukraine and sanctions against Russia were held on Saturday in central Rome, Italy.
The largest of these was organized by the Sovereign and Popular Political Union of Italy in the famous Piazza Santa Apostoli in the center of Rome.
The demonstration came out under the slogan "No war, no sanctions, but peace and work."
Its participants strongly criticized the government's policy regarding the supply of arms to Kyiv and sanctions against Russia.
It was written on one of the banners carried by the demonstrators: "NATO and the European Union, leave us alone."
In addition, the demonstrators demanded the authorities solve the severe social and economic problems in the country caused by the sharp rise in energy and food prices.
According to the latest public opinion polls, about 60 percent of Italians oppose the supply of arms to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia.
