ARK News... President Masoud Barzani considered the departure of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright a personal loss for him, describing her as a friend.

President Barzani posted on Twitter, "Madeleine Albright's passing is a great loss for me personally. We have been friends for decades. I offer my deepest condolences to the US government and her family, I hope she rests in eternal peace."

Madeleine Albright, the first woman to hold the US State Department and one of the most influential political figures of her generation, died at the age of 84 after suffering from cancer.
