ARK News: A Kurdish political analyst revealed that the number of Kurdish students in schools has decreased during the past few years, all because of the ideological curriculum of the PYD that was imposed on the Kurdish people in Syrian Kurdistan.

During his participation in the ARK bulletin, political analyst Abdul Rahim Ali said that the PYD administration imposed its ideological curriculum in 2014, and only two years later, the number of Kurdish students in schools dwindled.

The political analyst added: that he conducted a census on the number of Kurdish students in Hassan bin Thabet School in the city of Tirbaspiye and other schools in the region, and it became clear after the census:

Before the Syrian revolution "2011", the number of students was (750) students in Hassan bin Thabet School, and the percentage of Kurds was 68% of the total number of students.

After the PYD's ideological curriculum was imposed in 2014, the number of Kurdish students decreased to 33% of the total number of students.

In 2016, the percentage of Kurdish students decreased to 11%, of the total number of students.

During the new academic year (2020-2021), the percentage of Kurdish students in schools decreased to 1%.

And he added: The interesting thing is that the number of students in Hassan bin Thabet School remained (750) students so that Arab students coming from other Syrian governorates were registered instead of the Kurdish students who left school after the PYD received the administration of the region from the Syrian regime.
