ARK News: On Wednesday 09/23/2019, marks the anniversary of the departure of the first national character, Mustafa Simgamoor after an incurable disease in a hospital in Damascus, and his body was taken to his village in the countryside of the city Mazra Derik in Syrian Kurdistan.

His autobiography

Mustafa Ismail Haji, known as "Mustafa Simgamoor", was born in the village of Ain Dewar in the city of Derik in 1943, from the people of Mazra village and among the prominent national figures in Syrian Kurdistan and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He is known for his patriotic stances and his services for the Kurdish issue.

He joined the ranks of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria at the beginning of the party's establishment in 1957, and also supported the September and Gulan revolutions in Iraqi Kurdistan. He visited Iraqi Kurdistan several times and met with Mullah Mustafa Barzani, the immortal.

Simgamoor supported the glorious Gulan revolution, and the martyr Idris Barzani, in the "interim leadership" stage, all thanks to Simgamoor for his support for the revolution, and opened the doors of his house in the village of Mazra to the Peshmerga and was a support for them, as his house became a center for containing the Peshmerga for their movement between Kurdistan Turkey and Iraqi Kurdistan.

Mustafa Simgamoor had an important role in providing support and aids during the uprising in 1991, and he raised his children on the love of the Kurds and the approach of Barzani, and for that, he was arrested and tortured more than once, the last of which was in 1985 when he was placed in Aleppo prison on charges of collaborating with the Peshmerga and Revolution and his support for them.

He died, on Monday morning, 23/9/2019, in one hospital Syrian capital Damascus, and his body was taken to his village in the countryside of Mazra Derik in Syrian Kurdistan.
