ARK News: The national figure in Syrian Kurdistan, Sheikh Muhammad Brimja, on Thursday, September 3, 2020, departed after a struggle with illness in a hospital in Turkey.

Activists mourned the departure of one of the nobles of the Kurdish national movement in Syria, Sheikh Muhammad Brimja, who hails from the Afrin region after he was infected with Coronavirus.

It is known about the character that he is the son-in-law of the late fighter Osman Sabri, who turned the house of the Kurdish fighter Osman Sabri in the center of the capital, Damascus, in the Rukn al-Din neighborhood, into a cultural and political headquarters.

Activists had visited him secretly to organize seminars, sessions, and political and cultural meetings years before the Syrian revolution. In addition to that, he used to write poetry and literature in the Kurdish language.

The militant Sheikh Muhammad had participated in the first Nawroz in Damascus when the Syrian security forces attacked them, he was one of the first demonstrators and attackers in front of the Presidential Palace in the capital in the eighties.

The brother of the deceased stated in a special statement to ARK that he was buried in the village of Kolik in the city of Samsur in Kurdistan, Turkey, next to his late uncle-in-law Osman Sabri.
