ENKS President: "The terrorist factions in Afrin carry out terrorist practices of killing and kidnapping in front of Turkey's eyes."
ARK News… Saud Al-Mulla, head of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, described the armed factions in Afrin as terrorists, expressing that they carry out terrorist practices of killing and kidnapping in front of Turkey's eyes, which are immoral and inhumane acts and they stand against it and demand an end to these actions and exit from the Kurdish regions.
In an interview with the Kurdistan newspaper, Al-Mulla answered the question: How do you see in the Kurdish Council what is happening in the areas controlled by the armed factions, Afrin, Sari Kaniye, and Geri Spi, from violations against the Kurds, including killing, kidnapping, and displacement?
The Kurdish areas were stable and safe, and they were a safe haven for all the other components coming from the conflict areas in Aleppo, Homs, Hama, and the countryside of Damascus, and we were showing the media that the Kurdish areas are safe for the displaced, our goal is to build a future Syria, a democratic, pluralist parliamentary system, all components enjoying their rights, and these are the demands we have been and still are clearly demanding in all international conferences and meetings that we attend.
He added: The entry of "PYD" in the war was exploited, and America relied on them to fight ISIS in Syria as the only force and supported it, as that force was developed from "YPG" to the SDF. Turkey took advantage of the opportunity and opposed the emergence of a Kurdish force of this size, and it has relations with the PKK along its borders. An agreement was reached between it and Russia, and it occupied Afrin through the terrorist armed factions that fought the Kurds and the QSD through that argument, confirming: All terrorist acts and practices including kidnapping, torture, murder, and displacement carried out by these factions with different names before Turkey's eyes. Turkey wants to impose its control on all Kurdish regions, just as America has to some extent handed over two Kurdish regions, Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi to Turkey, Turkey always tries to exploit the opportunities to impose its control on the rest of the regions.
Al-Mulla called for unity and not creating arguments for the Turks: “Here we call on our people for unity and cohesion and not to create excuses for the Turks to enter our lands, destroy our cities and villages, and bring terrorists into our regions for the sake of sabotage, destruction, and displacement, and we are in the Kurdish National Council, from the beginning, we demanded and condemned those acts that are practiced in the areas that these factions controlled, these actions are immoral and inhuman, and we stand against them, and we demand the cessation of these terrorist acts and the exit from our areas. He pointed out: We always repeat that the Kurdish people did not stand by the sabotage, and we also directed our call to the international community, noting that many of these armed factions entered under the name of the National Coalition, and at that time we froze our work within the coalition, and we held bilateral meetings with the coalition, and they confirmed that they are not behind those factions, and we demanded to amend their position and stand against these actions, and also when they occupied Sari Kaniye, we formed a delegation to negotiate with the coalition and Turkey, and our delegation held a meeting with the Turkish Foreign Minister and the delegation made it clear to them that these actions do not serve the Kurdish issue, nor serve Syria, nor even interfere in the service of the Turkish state.
