Clarification from YXCDK-R about the 'Spark' Scholarship

ARK News… The Kurdistan Region Branch of the Students and Youth Union of Democratic Kurdistan- West, on Friday, issued a statement about the scholarship provided by the Spark Organization for students applying to universities from Syrian Kurdistan refugees in the Kurdistan Region, explaining the terms of the scholarship.

The following is the text of the statement:

Scholarship: Clarification on the terms of the SPARK Scholarship

Admission and registration

General Terms

1- All students have the right to apply, whether they hold a baccalaureate degree issued from Syria or the Kurdistan Region.
2- The age must be between 17 to 30 years old.

Registration
First: For the baccalaureate diploma issued by the Kurdistan Region, the following is required:
1- UN Form or the residence card of the Kurdistan Region.
2- Baccalaureate certificate (the student who did not receive the certificate can attach a copy of his grades).
Second: With regard to the Syrian Baccalaureate degree, the following is required:
1- UN Form or Kurdistan Residence.
2- The baccalaureate degree (requires later amendment in the examination department in the Kurdistan Region after admission).
Third: The required documents to amend the Syrian baccalaureate diploma:

1- The original ninth grade certificate.
2- School certificate for the tenth grade (original old nylon).
3- School certificate for the eleventh grade (the original old nylon).
4- The original baccalaureate certificate.
5- Study sequence.
6- Academic record (or grade board).
7- Certification of all previous documents (items 1-2-3-4-5-6) from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iraqi embassy in Damascus.

After the completion of the registration, a committee will be formed by the Spark organization to determine the mechanism for screening and accepting scholarship students according to the number of available scholarships.

Head Office: Hawler - Kirkuk Street - next to Walat Hotel. Most of the refugee camps will also be visited by a body representing SPARK and the Kurdistan Region Branch of the Students and Youth Democratic Kurdistan - West, to provide a detailed lecture on how to apply for the scholarship.
