ARK News… The Shangal district (Sinjar), on Monday, witnessed a protest stand organized by dozens of Yezidis protesting against the presence of PKK forces in their areas.

The participants in the stand called for the withdrawal of all forces affiliated with the PKK from the district as soon as possible, and they raised pictures of detainees with the party and banners calling for its militants to leave.

The official of the Yazidi House, Mam Qawal, said in a statement, "The presence of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has great risks for Sinjar and its people because the party has kidnapped dozens of Yazidi youths and young women who are currently in the party's prisons."

"Our protests will continue until the departure of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) from Sinjar, and the release of all its detainees," he added.
