American Professor Dies in Kurdistan

ARK News: An American professor, who was teaching at the University of Soran in the Kurdistan Region, passed away on Friday at his home.
"Dr. Nicholas Rion, who was teaching at the University of Soran, died, on Friday, due to an illness at his home in the northeastern city of Soran," Dr. Hazhar Rahim, head of the university's media department, told BasNews
He noted that Rion was suffering from this heart illness, and he had gone through some special surgeries, so he had been asked by the university to return to the US for proper treatment, but he insisted on continuing serving at the Kurdish educational institution.
