Afrin .. Resettlement of the displaced people continues by armed militias

ARK News: A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin reported on its main page of Facebook, on 8.1.2020, that the influx of IDPs from Idlib continues to increase day after day and they are forcibly settled by armed militias in Kurdish homes, where each house contains more than one family, which aiming of cracking down on Kurdish citizens in the Kurdish region of Afrin and the implementation of the political and military agendas in terms of the ethnic cleansing of Kurds and forcing residents to leave in order to make a demographic change.

The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said that on 01/01/2020, armed elements affiliated with Al Shamiya Front faction expelled the elderly Nabi Murad, 70 years old, from his home in the Ashrafiya neighborhood near Hamada bakery, on the pretext that one of his sons belonged to the previous administration forces and resettled a family coming from Idlib instead of him in exchange for a monthly rent for them $ 100.

The organization added that the armed militias belonging to the Samarkand Brigade, which controls the village of Kafar Safra of Jenderes town have settled a number of families in the Kurdish houses owned by the following citizens:

1- Zaynab Murad Agha
2 - Lam’an Khalil Hassan Majhem, and she objected and fought with them, threatening suicide.
3 - Fidan, the wife of the late Hussein Hassan Fate, and when she objected, she was taken to the security headquarters and threatened with death.

While approximately 210 families were settled in Basouta village of Afrin city and 22 new families in Bulbul town, distributed between Qizilbasha and Belle villages.

As for Kafar Janna and Qara Tapa villages of Shara town, more than 90 families have been settled them. We were able to obtain the names of a number of Kurdish citizens who own homes, and they are:

1- More than 40 families were settled in the Diyar canteen of its owner, Fawzi Sheikho, and one family in his home.
2 - A family was settled in the house of Citizen Abdo Ebo
3 - A family was resettled in the house of Mohammed Sheikho
4 - 7 families were settled in the house of Mahmoud Hassan Hamdoush
5 - 5 families were settled in the home of Abdul Hannan Hamdoush
6 - 2 families were settled in the home of Anwar Noraddin Hamdoush
7 - 4 families were settled in the home of citizen Adel Noraddin Ibish
8 - 5 families were settled in the home of Mohammed Hamdoush
9 - 2 families were settled in the home of Saifuddin Hamdoush
10 - 9 families were settled in the home of Abu Farhad
11 - A family was resettled in the home of Amin Simo
12 – A family was resettled in the home of Ahmed Mohammed Othman.

The series of violations continues in Afrin region, which was controlled by Turkey and the armed factions, March 18, 2018, and organized chaos has spread in light of the poor security conditions and the large number of killings, kidnappings and arrests, not to mention the looting and resettling Arab settlers coming from Idlib province.
