Afrin ... Levies .. Kidnapping .. Arrests: Turkish-backed factions continue their violations against remaining Kurdish civilians
ARK News: A Human Rights Organization working to document violations in the Kurdish region of Afrin reported on its main page of Facebook yesterday, 1.1.2020, that the security elements (Political Security) of the Syrian Interim Government and the National Coalition, under the supervision of the Turkish intelligence, are continuing their campaign to kidnap a number of citizens in the local council of the city of Afrin, including engineers and employees which aiming of cracking down on Kurdish citizens in the Kurdish region of Afrin and the implementation of the political and military agendas in terms of the ethnic cleansing of Kurds and forcing residents to leave in order to make a demographic change.
The Human Rights Organization in Afrin said and with the except that the pro-Turkish factions and groups are carrying out the operation of theft and looting and armed robbery and indiscriminate kidnapping, and seizure of property of residents and logging olive trees, and deliberately under the supervision of the Turkish intelligence through creating an atmosphere of intimidation, terror, and insecurity and instability (creating chaos) in order to displace the remaining Kurdish people.

In this context, the organization added that one of the factions in control of Ahmad Miste village, has arrested seven civilians on charge of being on contact with their relatives in Al-Shahba camp and two of the arrested people, were arrested previously, then released after paying levies.
The organization made clear that a man was kidnapped by members of a Turkish-backed faction in Deir Siwan village of Shara Town in Afrin.
The organization also added that armed members of the “Political Security” have arrested a civilian from Mamola village of Rajo Town in Afrin countryside. The civilian was arrested from his workplace in the Transportation Department in Afrin Civil Council. He was taken to unknown destination without revealing the reasons for arresting him.
In Shiye town armed members affiliated to the Turkish-backed faction of “Liwaa Al-Waqqas” arrested more than ten young men from Anqale village, and took them to unknown destination. Then, they asked their families to pay 10,000 USD for each one of them, in return for releasing them.
The organization made clear that militias of the Sultan Shah faction known as “Al-Amshat”, imposed royalty (1,000 SYL) over every person in the three villages of “Çaqla”, to be paid monthly to the faction.
A Human Rights Organization also reported on its main page of Facebook yesterday, 3.1.2020, that armed elements wearing military police clothes, on 01/01/2020, kidnapped the Kurdish citizen Abdul Razzaq Abdul Rahman Muhammad, known as the family of (Adoula), 48 years old, from the village of Kafardale Tahtani of Jenderes town, who works as a mechanic in the industrial area of Afrin city and took him to an unknown destination under the pretext of his service in Repair of cars belonging to the former self-management.
Note that he was kidnapped previously about a year ago by the armed elements of Jabha Al Shamiya faction and was able to escape from their hands, but the Turkish soldiers arrested him and re-surrendered to the aforementioned faction and forced him to pay a financial ransom of 8 thousand euros for his release.
The series of violations continues in Afrin region, which was controlled by Turkey and the armed factions, March 18, 2018, and organized chaos has spread in light of the poor security conditions and the large number of killings, kidnappings and arrests, not to mention the looting of agricultural crops and the cutting of fruit and olives trees for firewood, which aims to demographic change .
